You May Be Right, I May Be Crazy

Last December I ran a series called '31 Questions for Barking Alien' in which readers of the blog sent inquiries on various subjects via Comment, Email, or social media (such as Facebook) to yours truly and I proceeded to answer in as effectively and entertainingly as I could.

LET'S DO IT AGAIN!

I had a lot of fun doing this last year and I think some of the response posts were pretty good. Comments were decent, with some nice interactions between you all and the blog which I really do appreciate.

To this end, please send any questions, queries, or inquisitives to this blog via Comment on this posts or any other going forward, my email at barkingalienATgmailDOTcom, or you can contact me via Facebook Messanger as Adam Dickstein.

I am really looking forward to this so throw those questions my way! In 2024 we got to 15 questions. Can we beat that? We shall see...

  1. Yes, you are a tad crazy ;-)

Have you started serious prep work on whatever games you're planning for next year? How long do you take to prep a campaign or single session? What does this involve for you?

    1. Something I've tried to describe a few times before to varying degrees of failure. ^ ^; I even talked about this subject very recently.

This time, well, I have this question to guide me so hopefully I can make myself understandable this time out.

  2. Yay, the questions are back! Let's start with something not controversial at all: Star Wars canon ;-)

In your Star Wars games, do you follow Legends or Disney's timeline? Or do you disregard both to to make your own? What are your feelings about the prequels and the sequels?

And finally, maybe worth splitting into a second question, do you have any favorite "obscure" Star Wars work, besides Visions?

    1. Similar questions were asked of me last year and it was really fun to put down 'in print' that which had previously only ever appeared in my mind.

I was queried about my preferences and headcanon for two of my other favorite franchises, Ghostbusters and Star Trek.

I love this question! Can't wait.

    2. I should know, one of those was mine, hehehe.

  3. Do you ever attend (gaming) conventions out in your neck of the woods, and if so, which ones?

  4. Question -- What is/are the coolest thing(s) you've ever designed for a game you were running that your players ignored or just totally missed? I know that on good days, my players tend to hit most of the "cool" stuff I've planned out, but in my current group, my people are missing things left and right, and I have to resist the urge to semi-railroad them around just to please myself.

    1. That is a very cool question Croaker. Seriously. I'd love to see how some of my fellow RPG bloggers would answer this.

Given the nature of how I devise campaigns and adventures, it's hard to answer this. It's almost not applicable and yet it certainly happens. Hmm. Going to take some thought.

Thanks for coming by and for participating!
