Nada. Zip. Zilch. Un-, anti-, dis- and non.
I got nothing.
I simply can not come up with an original or relatively original game idea I like enough to dedicate an entire month to working on it. Nothing is generating even the slightest bit of creativity in me outside of my desire to continue my Ars Magica campaign and my longer term Ghost RPG project.
This sucks. I feel like...well...like suck if suck were a feeling.

I'm sure you heard this a hundred times before but still:
ReplyDeletedon't try to force it. Inspiration comes in the most unlikely places and the most unlikely times. When I try too hard to come up with something for my games I usually cramp mentally and I run dry. For me it works to do something completely different, then inspiration suddenly strikes in the most unexpected ways. It'll happen, don't worry.
Best regards,
Kai
Thank you Kai. Again.
DeleteLet me know if you're ever in the states. I owe you a cup of coffee or a beer at the very least.
And not that watered down, crappy yellow, American beer. I know where to go.
It's almost 6am here in New York City and I have been up for two hours. I have a cold coming on I think but I managed to write a song. OK, a poem I can sing. I don't actually know how to write music or play an instrument.
Feeling a bit better actually.
Hoping for the best.
Danke, dass ihr da. (Apologize in advance for my cruddy German).
See, inspiration's coming back. A poem/song is great start (and I don't think you need to know how to write music or play an instrument to write a good song) and may even be the starting point for something else entirely.
ReplyDeleteAdditionally I have to thank you for your kind offer, I would love to accept. We are actually in the planing stages for a trip to New York and New England next year - still not sure if that's going to happen, but we both want to finally visit the US, as we've never been there before.
And regarding your German, don't sweat it, it's a difficult language that consists of rules that only exist to have hundreds of exceptions to them. *g*
