RPGaDay Challenge 2016 - Day 9
Depends on what you mean by 'beyond the game'.
Beyond the system? A setting I like that fits the game's mechanics and vice-versa.
Beyond the setting? A group of players who get, and buy in to the setting, its premise, and its tropes.
Beyond players that get it? Players that get along, are tolerant, and adaptable.
Beyond friendly, and flexible players? A place to play that's comfortable, easy/affordable to reach, and that gives us enough room.
Beyond a good play site? Access to food, snacks, and beverages I guess.
That all of that is compatible with the GM, and the GM is compatible with all of that.
Honestly, I've run great sessions without most of those being available many, many times. Only the player, and GM related parts really matter.
