RPGaDay Challenge 2023 - Day 10

Easy, none.

I don't have a favorite 'tie-in FICTION', unless you count the various Star Trek films and television series or the like as tie-in FICTION for Star Trek Adventures. Are DC and Marvel Comics tie-in FICTION for DC and Marvel or other Superhero RPGs?

Sorry, this feels like a very D&D player question. It just doesn't really apply to me.

  1. I agree. As far as the question is concerned, I think "tie-in fiction" strictly refers to fiction based directly on a role-playing game, and not on the fiction or fictional setting that a role-playing game may be based on or inspired by. So, D&D and Vampire: The Masquerade novels would qualify. Warhammer and BattleTech novels are borderline because they are based more on the war games than the related role-playing games.
