"I'm back! You guys did it!"
"Hey man, we did it together. High paw!"
"Well that about wraps it up gang. We've come to the end of another show..."
"What?! The end? But I have so much more to talk about! I never go to go into Locations and Sets in detail. I had this idea, my take on Ravenloft featuring Count Von Count. The PDF! The PDF isn't finished!"
"And I, the Great Gonzo, never got to do my act. See, I was going to juggle active thermal detonators while being randomly teleported about the stage by the Transdimensional Teleporter, all to the music of the Anvil Chorus!"
"And I need to get back to Piggy's dressing room...My keys! I lost my keys and she found them! Sheesh!"
"Well sorry guys, that's all the time we have. Listen we can come over and help you out on Monday's starting in May."
"Perfect! Muppet Mondays is unofficially officially a go!"
"Great! OK, let's have a big round of applause for our very special guest stars Adam and Barkley! Yaaay!!!"
"It was fantastic everybody. I had so much fun this month and received huge amounts of support. I'd like to thank Erin Palette for all her help and input. Also, James Mal of GROGNARDIA, The Happy Whisk and Jay of EXONAUTS for their guest blog posts. I want to thank Joe of Tough Pigs, Ryan of the Muppet Mindset, the Muppet Wiki without which I'd be lost and of course, the Muppets. And the audience! I hope you all enjoyed the show!"
"We'll see you next time on Barking Alien!"

Barking Alien
"Well, what did you think?"
"I thought that it was the most self-indulgent collection of cockamamie ideas and new school claptrap I've ever seen in one place on the internet."
"Ah...so you didn't like it."
"It was OK."
Seriously, dude. You've completely outdone yourself. I blazed through all of these posts in the last few days and I am still left flabbergasted by your amazing effort on this whole series. The dialogue, the ideas for the Muppets RPGs, everything.
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not, this is how I game.
ReplyDeleteWhen players show up at my table they each get a 1/2" to 1" binder or folder with art, notes on the campaign and a place to put their character sheet. Each session (roughly) they get a few pages added.
I spend a lot of time and effort doing research, practicing voices and going over dialog and generally obsessing about my adventures and campaign ideas. Then I get to the table and just wing it.
I can wing it because I know it so well. It's like your hometown or where you live. You didn't know your friend was going to say they wanted Mexican tonight but you know the best Mexican place in the area of town you're in. That's how my world's usually work.
This particular subject is near and dear and I'd be lying if I said 20 years of prep-work didn't help.
Thanks you noticing. I hope you had half as much fun reading it as I did writing it.
I do believe that the A to Z will be a breeze for you after this. Whew. Great job. So fun. And thanks again for all the hard work and for including me. Much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteIt's a triumph and we'll be waiting for that PDF.
ReplyDeleteI plan on spending Sunday putting the PDF together, though I do need to do more artwork and clean up a few things.
ReplyDeleteIt should most likely be definitely somewhat soon-sih. Definitely.
